HIGH SEAS COMBAT

At the helm of your mighty vessel, you scour the horizon with your spyglass. Profitable sea lanes are just waiting to be claimed, but a rival ship is fast approaching your prize. Load your cannons and sink them before they send you swimming! Merchants & Marauders: Broadsides brings you back to the Golden Age of Piracy with this two-player game of deadly naval combat. Take command of your ship as you and your opponent duel to see who can be the first to eliminate the competition by sinking their ship or taking out both their Captain and First Mate. Outfit your ship with three different types of cannons and choose your targets. Only one captain can claim victory!

PLAY YOUR HAND

Players can take a wide variety of actions in Merchants & Marauders: Broadsides by playing different card combinations. Target weak points on your opponents’ ship by playing cards to increase your cannons’ accuracy. Disrupt your opponents’ plans by playing a straight, forcing them to discard valuable cards. As the battle progresses, proper management of your crew and cannons will help you win the day. Prepare for the next phase of the battle by reloading your cannons and fight off defeat by commanding your crew to repair the ship. Damage affects each area of the ship differently, so adapting to each situation is key. Once you’re an experienced sea dog, select a captain whose reputation will give you unique abilities and draft some dirty tricks for even more variety. Load your cannons, take aim, and see who is the ruler of the sea!
